Changing the Face of Title Insurance: The Next Generation

Adaptation and change is essential for success in all areas of business and across all industries, and title insurance is no exception. Each new era presents us with opportunities that didn’t exist for the generation before us. We have access to better tools and a different vantage point. It is, however, up to us to use them to improve upon the past and breathe life into our dreams and ideas. If we don’t, then opportunity and growth is lost.

The millennial generation wants something different from their experiences – something that gives them purpose. We all know what happens when we are passionate about what we are doing — we will undoubtedly put more of ourselves into our work, and the result is far better because of it. We respond to passion with passion. It’s a win-win.

At Novation, we understand this and believe in redefining the experience of what has been a slow-to-change industry. We have watched the real estate industry as a whole change and evolve, utilizing mobile technology and social platforms to speak to customers and better understand their needs. As a title insurance company, we understand that we are a vital part of the homebuying process and recognize the importance of not just ‘keeping up’ with the industry but ‘getting ahead.’

So, what does that look like for us?

Improving transparency – When you invest in title insurance and closing services on your home purchase or refinance, do you know where your money is going? Many consumers still report feeling left in the dark on this issue. We provide updates during the entire title and settlement process, keeping you in-the-loop and aware of upcoming deadlines. We are committed to everyone involved in the transaction.

Educating consumers – We believe that homebuyers should know not only what title insurance is, but why they need it. In a case of a title defect, liens or even human error, they should understand how they’re protected. Consumers should also be aware that they have the option to choose their own title insurance company for the closing process. Let your voice be heard!

Community partnerships – Giving back and having purpose within our community has always been part of our mission. Every spring we partner with a different non-profit in our community and donate a portion of our net profit directly to that organization. It’s one way we can say thank you for helping to keep our community strong! We’re all better off when we work together.

Personalized relationships – Our vision, from the beginning, was to create an environment that is completely different for the people we work with. It’s important to us that we build a relationship with each one of our clients and make it a positive experience for everyone involved. From text-message reminders to capturing the moment of closing, we do things a little differently!

These are just a few of the ways we’re creating an experience that our industry has never seen before. In today’s fast-paced and forward-thinking world, we know that every decision counts. We invite you to experience the difference!

Welcome, 2020! We made it through the first week of the New Year and are already excited for what’s to come in this brand new decade. Anything can happen, and we have so much to create! Whether you’re a fan of long-term resolutions or prefer setting smaller, short-term goals, it feels good to start the year off with a desire to change for the better. If you know us, you know our approach at Novation Title has always been goal-centric, not only within our business but in our personal lives and out in the community. In today’s world where we are constantly connected (and distracted), it’s no wonder that we increasingly find ourselves overwhelmed mentally and physically drained. Often, the issues in everyday life are the ones that prevent us from enjoying the very same everyday life! How can we balance this out? We believe we can do better. That is why we are introducing meditation into our workspace. While meditation has been practiced for over 5,000 years, it is increasingly becoming a necessary way for us to unplug from the modern world. But what, exactly, is it? Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique — such as mindfulness — to train attention and thoughts. Mindfulness is awareness, it is a state of peace. It is being in the present moment, intentional and serene. It is the process of being aware of your thoughts while also disconnecting from them so you can connect within. Connecting within is the highest form of intelligence and results in proven mental, emotional and spiritual health benefits. Here are just a few science-based benefits of meditation: Reduces blood pressure Increases serotonin production that improves mood and behavior Improves immune system Increase in energy levels Lessens stress and anxiety Increases happiness and creativity Clarity and peace of mind Increased memory retention and recall Enhances self-awareness and self-acceptance Each one of us, regardless of gender, age or other factors, undergo daily stress and tension at some level or the other. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce #NovationMeditation into our business and we encourage others to join us this year. We can ALL benefit from improved mental and physical health in 2020. Who’s with us?!
